52 Years Young :)

lighted happy birthday candles

Such an awesome adventure is LIFE!  This year has been a marvelous adventure! Each day, since God reminded me of His presence, barely two days before my 51st birthday, until the morning of my 52nd birthday, were 367 days of glorious stepping stones of learning, advancement, expansion, growth and maturity.

Even a generous gift by my employers’, May 1st, 2018, has proven to be extraordinary, as well!  They opted to bless me with an orchid instead of their traditional homemade birthday cake and for that I am ever grateful!  A continual blessing, this beautiful orchid has blossomed often, with increased blooms in abundance of size and growth of expansion.   Even my daughter has commented on the ethereal beauty of its characteristics and depth of appeal and had to touch the petals to assure the validity of its real nature.

July brought bright hopes of promise for future generations, and immediate familial growth, as my family doubled in size overnight with my daughter’s wedding.

September 9th brought immediate healing upon the direct word from the Lord, “You have said to yourself…Care and woe, care and woe, what will I do and where will I go? The last time it was bad but this time seems to be worse; care and woe; what will I do and where will I go? I say,… Blessing and Joy, Blessing and Joy has come to pass.  Blessing and Joy, Blessing and Joy at last, at last!  Today, salvation has come; healing is wrought and the best of all that Jesus has for you, He bought!  So, rejoice and be glad instead of being sad for the victory has been won!  You have FAITH and JOY,  so laugh and be glad! Daughter, REJOICE!”  And with that, God was faithful in replacing all sorrow and grief with His Blessing and Joy! – Praise God!  Oh, don’t kid yourself, I have to be vigilant not to allow thoughts of negativity and failure to creep back in and try to drag me into a pit of despair and grasp tightly to, remembering that whom the Son has set free, is FREE indeed!

Fall was truly spectacular,  bursting with evidence of God’s glory and infused creativity! The sun burst through the overcast sky, on this crisp fall morning…

October brought carving pumpkins with the grandchildren!  Do you resemble a pumpkin?

November brought more joy as my daughter celebrated her 32nd birthday and together we worked with our hands, willingly,  making her stepdaughter’s birthday cake.   Proverbs 31 as modern day women…

Thanksgiving and Christmas were times of family, fellowship, food and fun!!!

January 1st, first day of the New Year, was set apart for the Lord, to glory and revel in His creation and out of that dedication, and commitment to Him, He gave me the most amazing epiphany I have yet experienced, other than the manifested glory of His covering in the sanctuary. Epiphany 2019…

February, March, and into April, were gloomy, cold, snowy, wet and dreary days and often I had to do as King David, and encourage myself, in the Lord.  I am so thankful where my Heavenly Father has sent me, on this ‘assignment’, as my work “family” is ever there to encourage me with kind words and thoughtful actions; their generosity and uplifting attitudes have helped me face the reality of my current existence.  They treat me as a lady, a young woman, not making me feel old, helpless, or overburden; but, treasured, respected and valued.  Most of my coworkers seem to value my input and express interest in my opinion; this is precious to me.  I enjoy the comradeship we have; the companionship we share as a work “family”, in this work “home”!  It often reminds me of when the Lord said, “Come, let us reason together.” – Isaiah 1:18

The year was full of family, friends, and neighbors. It has been an honor to be included in the lives of those near and dear to me; an honor they would share every nook and cranny of themselves with ME, and want me to share with them – Thank you!   Even my brother, Rob, honored me by including me in his second novel, The Emerald Stones

51 was a very good year for me!  So very thankful for another year of life! So very thankful for my offspring who loves, encourages and supports me! So very thankful for wonderful parents, and siblings, who offer so much encouragement and support!  So very thankful for a Mom and Dad who is never afraid to remind me of  “who I am” and “whose I am”!!!  So very thankful for those God has put in my path, for new beginnings and new opportunities for living!

God has a plan, and I am ready…moving forward, one step at a time 🙂  Holding tightly to His many promises, and YOU can too, which include:

Psalms 91 Message Version

1-13 You who sit down in the High God’s presence,
    spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow,
Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
    I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
    shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
    under them you’re perfectly safe;
    his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
    not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
    not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
    drop like flies right and left,
    no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
    watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God’s your refuge,
    the High God your very own home,
Evil can’t get close to you,
    harm can’t get through the door.
He ordered his angels
    to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they’ll catch you;
    their job is to keep you from falling.
You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
    and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God,
    “I’ll get you out of any trouble.
I’ll give you the best of care
    if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times;
    I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I’ll give you a long life,
    give you a long drink of salvation!”
